Small craft(2)

After making the strongback we had to make our frames. To make frames we need a 'transfering shape'. Also, stem developments and transom development are required.

At the first, we gathered timbers.
Cutting List

Timber(yellow cedar) - 5217.0 x 298 x 50 (mm)

Stem - 7100 x 40 x 5

Keelson - 2060 x 60 x 20

Chine -  2470 (x2) x 40 x 16

Gunwale - 2675 (x2) x 35 x 18

Frames - 10000 x 20 x 100

Frame Supports/ Cross Spauls - 13000 x 25 x 20

Strong back frame atactcher - 485 x 90 x 20 (x7) 3395 total

Stem Mountings - 18- x 20 x 50 (x3) (540 total)

Transom Frame - 1000 x 20 x30

Small craft(1)

Eventually, my classmates and me started to make a our own boat. My tutor divided our class as three groups. One of group is making 'Dory' and another is making 'Pippie'.  My  group is making a '2.5m Dinghy' with my lofting. - I was very excited!!!

For making a boat we wrote a process( timeline, materials, who did what etc.)
Frist step was making a 'strong back'. We are going to make mold frame as well, so we needed a fixed strongback. Also, we needed boards for the cross peicees at the station lines.

Find the centre Line~~!!!!
